Project Management Vocabulary

1. Any individual, group or organization that has an involvement in, or is influenced by a project.

2. An analysis and evaluation of a proposed project, to decide how practical it is to carry out and how likely it is to succeed.

3. Specific, measurable results, or products that are expected to be produced as a result of a project or a particular step within a project.

4. A reference point or set of original specifications created at the start of a project and used as a standard to measure its progress and success.

5. Significant events  in a project’s timeline which are used as markers to track progress and help ensure that a project is on course to meet its targets on time.

6. A fixed strategy to manage unexpected events or risks that may occur during the project.

7. The process of identifying and taking actions to reduce or prevent the effects of possible risks on a project.

8. The support and acceptance of key individuals who are affected by or involved in a project.
