The People You Work With

There are many ways to describe the people you work with.
Have a look at the nouns below and their definitions. Then listen to the mini-dialogues and choose the correct answer
| AN ASSOCIATE – Someone you work with, especially in business. |
| A COLLEAGUE – Someone who works in the same organization or department as you. |
| A COUNTERPART – Someone who has the same job as another person, but in a different country or organization. |
| A CO-WORKER – Someone who works with you, usually with a similar position or status. |
| A LINE MANAGER – The person who directly manages someone in a company. |
| A PREDECESSOR – The person who had a job before someone else. |
| A SUBORDINATE – Someone who has less power or authority than someone else. |
| A SUCCESSOR – Someone who has a job after someone else. |
| A SUPERIOR – Someone who is senior to you in an organization or job. Your immediate superior holds the position directly above yours. |
| A TEAMMATE – A member of your team. |
