By and until are commonly confused prepositions. Let’s have a look at the difference between the two and try some practice exercises.
In English, by is used for deadlines. (You must finish the report on or before Friday. Finishing the report is a completed action.)
Until is used to describe an ongoing action up to a certain point in time.
